The large complex at Albuquerque Biological Park features an environmental museum made up of four main sections that explore the local wildlife. The park features a 26 hectare (64 acre) zoo, with over 250 species of exotic and native animals and an aquarium with a variety of local saltwater species. You can explore over 2 km (1.5 mi) of paths in the botanical gardens, including a 930 sq m (10,000 sq ft) glass conservatory, which features plants from desert climate zones. Enjoy the calm and tranquility at Tingley beach, stroll the trails, try your hand at fishing, or take advantage of the picnic areas.
