  • Most definitely one of the best zoos in the U.S. Plan when you arrive to watch the feeding of the sea lions. Simple but fun. The train is also quite pleasant and can be a little romantic, too. It's a ...  more »
  • I did not see that many animals out, I guess it was because it was too cold for them. I did see some cool flamingos, ducks, and 3 hippos though.
  • Loved this holiday light festival!!! Perfect for all ages and they sell Irish coffee and other alcoholic beverages to help you stay warm!

  • This place is incredible! It's one of the best zoos, aquarium, and botanical garden we've been to. We spent the whole day with our three teens and everyone had a great time. It was also very affordable. We couldn't believe the prices for what we were able to experience. Definitely on the top list of things to do here!
  • Very great experience for my child. Last time I was here, it was back in 98. Since then the zoo has grown leaps and bounds. Love the animals. Didn't realize it was going to be jam packed for zoo boo. Lots of activities and great volunteers. Just eat before you go there. Gift shop had everything but a little pricey. Excellent place to visit for the price.
  • Such a great place for your family to visit! One of the must sees of Albuquerque. The triple entertainment of the zoo, the aquarium, and botanical gardens have something for everyone! The only thing that stops this from being 5 star is the prices. Although they do offer many discount days if you check the city's website. There are lots of amazing special events at the Biopark where drinks are served and music is there or sleep overs with the sharks. All in all, AMAZING and magical place.
  • What a wonderful zoo!! I don't always approve of zoos, but this one is not only lovely and amazing but also has an orientation towards teaching people about the decline of biodiversity worldwide and mass extinctions as well as ways that we each can help. They have a snow leopard! Wow. The butterfly pavilion was seriously heavenly. Prairie dogs were so cute, wrestling each other. The gardens and orchards were amazing and lovely. They had a cool "bugarium" area. And the chimps and other monkeys were amazing. The chimps had 2 babies and they were very active swinging and running all over, while the adults were grooming each other which had families giggling (they don't share the human embarrassment factor lol). The kids areas were well organized. You can easily spend a whole day here! If I lived here, I'd buy an annual pass and hang out in the lovely gardens. Thank you all!
  • Our local zoo is almost constantly under construction as they renew exhibits to make life happier for the animals, and to build new sites for guests to enjoy. The amphitheater has been there since before I was born and it still looks excellent! It's always a wonderful place to visit.
