Chain O'Lakes State Park Reviews
Drove around and took a hike around Sand Lake. Beautiful fall day in a beautiful park! I want to come back next summer and camp. They have a nice campground plus cabins, paddle boats, canoe and kayak ... more »
We started a family tradition a few years back of kayaking and canoeing at Chain O' Lakes on Memorial Day and we love it. We arrive late morning, get out on the water between 10-11:00 before the rush ... more »

Stuck between four and five stars, but it's a good big park. We stayed in a cabin for a night and it was nice. I would do it again, but I hope I don't hear a mouse chewing away in the kitchen again or see mouse droppings by the window. Its a cabin, out in the woods, and April. What do you expect? Would like to see the price drop though considering there are no linens, towels, and stuff kept falling from the ceiling onto the bed. We walked a lot of trail 6 and it was perfect for two adults and a four and two year old. We've gone to other state parks like Turkey Run or Hocking Hills that are just two dangerous for young children. This trail at chain-o-lakes was easy and the kids could pretty much run and explore. You could also see where in really muddy areas on the trail they had put down some rocks to make it easier for walkers. There are also many other trails as the park is huge, but we only did one. There are fire pits, grills, and kid parks throughout the park. I recommend checking it out.
My family and I always enjoy going here to Canoe and swim at the beach. The campground is a good place to camp if that's what you're into but over all I recommended for anyone.
This is my favorite state park in this area. The people here are always extremely friendly and the campers always seem to have a great attitude. The rules are always enforced so there are never any issues.
Very nice place, the kyaks and canoes are a blast and reasonably priced hourly on the weekends. The bathrooms are cleaned regularly which is awesome! And plenty of campsite space.
They have beautiful flowers in the spring the trillions are just beautiful the Seven Lakes are connected by channels that you can canoe with great hiking great picnicking camping's a little crowded
