  • We did the trip through NOVA. It was perfect glacier hike. They geared us up with spikes for shoes and helmets. Drank some glacier water. Lots of fun.  more »

  • Slightly odd that this isn't a state park and you have to pay quite a lot ($30 each) just to access the glacier over private land - but put that aside for what will be a superb experience. We did the ...  more »

  • A must visit for sure. Best tasting water ever. It can get windy, but that is expected. The drive and the small cost were definitely worth it.
  • Words cannot describe what a cool place this is. We got the chance to walk on the glacier. It was slippery, but definitely worth it! We also got an airplane tour of the glacier and the Rockies that was beautiful.
  • great tour but the cashier was overly pushy and rude. she kept telling us to tip alot. i didnt see her say that to the white customers, i guess she just made assumptions about minorities. we did tip though because the tour guide was awesome, but thats none of the cashier's business.
  • A couple hours drive from Anchorage, this one is the easy access glacier. The road to the parking is unpaved but manageable. Short and easy hike to the glacier, hiking shoes with good grip preferred for walking on glaciers.
  • It cost $30 to go unguided, which is pretty expensive. I was unsure if I wanted to go and talked to the people in the shop and they made it sound so easy and nice. Totally inaccurate. Didn’t make it to the ice because the path was so run down to the ice and didn’t feel safe. At least the drive from anchorage was pretty so I totally don’t feel like I wasted my day, just wasted my money. If you want to see a glacier do a glacier cruise from Seward, so pretty.
