It is absolutely breathtaking. From the turquoise river to the tall cedars. Total eye candy everywhere you look. Nice to be out looking beyond a computer screen or cell phone.
Sipsey Wilderness is located within the William B. Bankhead National Forest that is managed by US Forest Service. This 25,986 acre recreational area has trails, picnicking, RV camping and boating.
This place is beautiful. BUT, you better get a local map if you are not familiar because you will have no cell phone service and the roads and some trails are unmarked.
