  • Ok, I'm not sure how I went so long without knowing about this park but it's incredible! We went today looking for paw paws and they were knowledgeable and able to direct us to the exact tree we wanted to see. We jogged around some of the trails and they were all beautiful and clear. There are various gardens and a good variety of plants and wildlife. We saw people with their strollers, walkers and canes getting around and even someone doing yoga off to the side. The park has several Ed events we're excited to check out, it's worth your time
  • If you're going to come here, I recommend coming late to really see what they have to offer! The night hikes are great, and the hundreds of tree frogs are mesmerizing! There's a lot of great studying, reading, drawing, or whatever kind of hobby you like areas! I love coming here to draw. The baby bunnies and deer are so cute, and it's a good place to teach kids that nature doesn't have to be scary! I haven't personally been in the nature center, but it seems cool! There's so called chickadee feeding, but I haven't done it. Overall, a great place.
  • I love this park so much that I want to say it's terrible to ensure it remains a hidden gem. That would be such a disservice to the staff that keeps it beautiful and to all thos you j3ed to enjoy this park. It's a great place for families and solos alike. Take your time and sour into Sand Run or go for a quick walk and get about your day. Either way you'll be amazed by this park!
  • Such a beautiful place to be any time of year, but it's definitely better when everything is bloomed. The wildlife is amazing, and the gardens are even better. I also found the greenhouse made of plastic bottles such a great way to grow things with use of garbage that would take way too long to disintegrate in a landfill. Just be careful if it's a hot day and bring plenty of water for the trails, because you can easily get dehydrated with the amount of sun exposure the area gets.
  • I see this park gets a lot of good reviews. These people must not have any idea how beautiful this park used to be.The first time I went here it was beautiful.Well maintained and manicured individual flower beds.Names of all the different flowers were displayed. It looked like the garden of a mansion that was meticulously maintained by a large staff of gardeners. The last two times I went here it looks like an overgrown meadow with paths carved through it.Wildflowers mixed in with tall weeds, allowed to grow, unchecked. Not appealing to me,compared to how it used to be.I went here to look at it because I was thinking of bringing some friends here for a nature hike. We'll do something else.Pond used to be beautiful too,but now, covered with algae.
