  • Love the feature realm, and love taking hikes here. Pick up the Mingo Trail from Sand Run, wind up here, then hike back. it's a nice 3-4 mile hike with beautiful surroundings.

  • This is probably my favorite of all the summit county Metroparks. There are trails for every ability! They have a gorgeous visitor center that runs free programs all the time. The visitor center has a great bird/animal viewing area where you can see all sorts of nature in action without them seeing you! They also have a lot of great taxidermy of local wildlife! There are several great ponds in the park as well as a suspension bridge, a herb garden, and lots of tips for sustainable living! The park is beautiful in all 4 seasons! Oh! And did I mention the birds??? Little chickadees, tufted titmouse, and nuthatches will land in your hand and eat seeds right out of your palm! They are not even very shy about it! They sell little brown bags of seeds for $.50 including tax at the gift shop, or you are welcome to bring your own! Either way, you have to experience the joy of these tiny birds landing on your finger tips!
  • Excellent trail system. Not too long but great for young families. The outdoor center is extremely clean and entertaining. Make sure you get some bird seed from the front desk as the birds will pick iy right out of your hand!
  • It was awesome I went there for a field trip once in second grade but I don't think I really cared cause I was little and just distracted. I went there a few days ago and I'm in seventh grade now and I got to feed birds and touch animals and it was amazing.
  • Nice park. Has some paved as well as unpaved paths. Nice visitor center with kid friendly nature exhibits.
  • LOVE this place! So enjoyable! Perfect to take your family just (no pets allowed). Good pokemon spawn here too!
