  • Very well maintained and the staff was friendly. The zoo is a good size for small children. They can see the animals and still be through the facility in a few hours.  more »

  • Me and my daughter went here recently and had a great time. We bought a season pass so we can come any time. She liked sting rays and flamingos. They also have a nice aviary. We got lots of pictures and the staff was excellent a knowledgeable about what they do.
  • A small zoo, but that's a good thing, particularly if you are taking children with you. It's fairly easy to walk the entire zoo, and to spend a little time at each exhibit. It's also clean, attractive, and easy to navigate. The snow leopards, lions, and the Sumatran tiger (which unlike the Bengal tiger, has a mane smaller than, but similar to, that of a lion) are great for big cat fans. Grizzly bears, several bald eagles, Red Wolves, and coyotes are a few highlights of the North American animals on display. Penguins, Komodo dragons, flamingos, lemurs, stingrays, bats... There are plenty of things to hold your interest throughout the day. There's also a petting zoo and a carousel for young kids. And the zoo is installing a new aquatic-themed display in one of the buildings. Although it was still under construction during my visit, I stuck my head through one of the doors to see workers busily finishing many tanks and other display areas. The one tank that appeared to be completed had a HUGE octopus in it, and she was fully open, like a big umbrella. Can't wait to visit again when this newest attraction is open.
  • Not too big for older and very young people. Beautiful gardens, very relaxing. Informative people everywhere. Not too expensive. Can take your lunch or buy food there.
  • Perfect for families with young kids. Very nicely organized and can be completed in under 2 hours. The gift shop is reasonably priced. Go somewhere else for food.
  • Love all the improvements they've done to the place . It's so different from when I was a kid . If you're there for boo at the zoo there's a really talented pumpkin carver there who's very friendly and takes the time to talk to anyone who asks questions about his carvings. The zoo displays are also very nice and the animals all look good and well taken care of.
