  • There are no words - well, I consider myself to be very blessed to have had Hitchcock Woods for my childhood playground. I grew up here, and still live near the woods. They are gorgeous. The Hitchcock...  more »

  • I love these woods. They have looked better over the years but they are still recovering from a bad storm in 2014. It is currently being restored to a prehistoric state of long leaf pines and is a great place to walk your dog.
  • Amazing and extensive trails. Can be easy or strenuous depending on what you want. Everybody is always really friendly.
  • Great place to ride your horse or walk. No bikes allowed. Lots of well kept trails.
  • This is a large patch of woods right in the middle of Aiken. Several sand bottom streams run through the property. A good place to hike, bring kids and just wander around. Parking is a little difficult to find and Google had the location wrong when we were there. It was further down the road than where they said.
  • Peaceful, nature walks right in the center of Aiken. I love it in Hitchcock woods...I can imagine I am anywhere in the world, no trash, horses, great for walking the dogs or just some meditation time with nature.
