Aiken Golf Club, Aiken

4.7
Walking is allowed at The Aiken Golf Club, in fact it's encouraged. Reach the green in regulation and have an enjoyable golf experience. Visiting the area for Masters Week? Don't miss this 101 year old beauty. Golf as it was intended to be.

  • Had a tee time at 10AM, and was off and running before that time, Lad was soooo helpful and friendly. Had lunch after at the 19th hole and even the simplest BLT was sumptuous!! Great place, great serv...  more »
  • Don't let the index fool you. This is a great and challenging track. Excellent shape but I did not think it was really a links style course. Friend staff and an outstanding price-value.  more »
  • Short course but very challenging. Nicely designed holes with tough greens. Greens fee is reasonable and food is available.  more »

  • One of the best (grooming) courses in the local area. Greens roll good and true. You can take a divot in the fairway. You're not hitting off of hardpan like another course we recently played in the area.
  • I love playing on this course. It's One of my favorite golf course in the Aiken area.
  • Great little track. Might be a short course, but you can't just power through it.
  • This course was built in 1902 as part of the Highland Hotel. Aiken was and still is a winter colony town. The course is not long but a challenge. I played here in the 60's
  • The price is outrageous(ly reasonable) for the quality of the course. It's the longest short course you'll ever play. If you think you're going to come from a wide open parkland course and beat this place into submission with your driver, you are in for a very, very, VERY long day - and a lot of lost balls. Be patient, hit fairway wood/hybrid/long iron whenever possible, respect the course and pick reasonable targets, and you will have a blast... the course is tough, but fair. There are no, I repeat, NO flat spots on the greens. Read what you see, and you'll be fine. The clubhouse is very nice, as is the staff - has some great conversations before and after the round. An excellent experience overall; I ended up buying a lot of merchandise afterwards to "make up" for the fact that I felt like I got away with something - seriously, they could double the price for non members and it would still be a bargain...
