Six Flags New England, Agawam
(3/5 based on 1,500+ reviews on the web)
The oldest of the Six Flags properties, Six Flags New England combines a theme park and water park. This spot got its start as a park in the 19th century and began introducing amusements in the early 20th century. However, its modern reputation is for its thrilling roller coasters, many of which are named after popular characters or films, such as Batman: The Ride. Costumed characters roam the avenues between the rides. Make Six Flags New England a centerpiece of your Agawam vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Agawam trip itinerary planner.

  • Though expensive, you will realize it is definitely worth it after your first roller coaster. The rides here are insane and very diverse. The best amusement park in NE.
  • I really like the parks in the United States precisely because of Halloween. This is good for children but great for teenagers! Open from morning until late at night. The food is expensive for American standards but within parks is always very expensive. It was all worth it, I had a great Halloween!

  • We love this park. It's quite clean for an amusement park and we always have a good time here. It easy to get to and park is ample(although it is a ridiculous price for a captive audience). Food is li...  more »

  • It's six-flags-corporate therefore pricey, that's a given. But excellent service, manageable lines, ample attractions, courteous staff, the only downside to this theme park is waiting for parking tram [it's a short walk, anyway]. Their Great Adventure park 6-flags in New Jersey could learn a thing or two about line- and parking- and customer-service- -management from this park, it's night&day better here than there. Superman ride goggles aren't always available, but I like the ride as it stands. Nice job putting the Texas Giant treatment [modern steel track on old-school wooden frame] for this Wicked Cyclone, too. My only complaint: it was a little much to put any 'slasher' images for the Halloween fright fest next to the kiddie ride entrances. But there were only a couple of those. There are plenty of very good kid-friendly rides and attractions, it's not just thrill rides.
  • Terrible experience. I waited in line for 2 hrs to try the Superman VR experience. They gave me a VR headset that went into complete darkness right out of the gate. Being completely blind, I could not anticipate any of the drops/turns of the coaster, and almost threw up. Upon telling my ordeal to customer service, they basically told me to go away. I was not even allowed to re-ride with a functioning headset without going back in line. Never again
  • Besides the extremely high food prices, best amusement park ever! The Superman is so much fun and the whole park is just great! So much to do and gives you a great experience!
  • Absolutely ridiculous. Last week my friend was there with his family when they noticed a man following there family around. The individual was hiding behind things following them all over. Then his daughter confronted the man and he grabbed a hold of her. Like any father my buddy seen this and chased after the man that touched his daughter. Once he found him literally hiding in a shop he grabbed him wanting to know why he touched his daughter. At this point this mam that is dressed as a bum informs them he's loss prevention and thought they were stealing then called security and police and had these season pass holders escorted off the property. When did it become this families fault for there staff grabbing his daughter. There gonna get someone killed following people's kids around and touching young girls . Not impressed. If your worried about theft I suggest security guards . The day I see a strange man grab my daughter then run as I approach they better keep running for there life. You don't touch people kids no matter what.
  • I usually like Six Flags, but today was the worst time I've had at an amusement park. I expect everything to be overpriced, but I don't expect employees to be miserable. No one seemed happy to work here. Every ride took an extremely long time and it wasn't even a weekend. The food quality was terrible. The men's changing room was a disaster. My back was scratched on one of the rides. I told all of this to a supervisor at guest services and filled out a complaint form while another guest next to me was complaining about the same thing. The only compensation I was offered was to go on another ride. I am very disappointed with my entire day here.
