  • My wife saw a brochure advertising this place. She suggested we visit since I was fond of pipe organs, pianos, and the like. What a great place. We spent over four hours there while we listened to two...  read more »
  • I have lived in this area for 25+ years and just recently went to the Music House after several recommendations for friends. I enjoyed the tour and the music a must see while visiting this area.
  • Fascinating array of displays, very knowledgeable staff, interesting presentations. My grandkids aged 5, 8 , 9 also very entertained.
  • Very interesting place if you are interested in the history of music and juke box, panio's also silent movies.
  • Great guides, not at all what I expected. The mechanical instruments are really interesting.
  • I had a small wedding ceremony and reception at the Music House, and I can't rave enough how awesome the employees there were. So helpful and friendly. The place was beautiful! I would recommend this place in a heart beat! Thank you so much for making my wedding special!
  • If you're thinking about holding a wedding here think again. Although it is a beautiful location and the ambiance is ideal, the contract terms are difficult and the staff is horrible beyond belief. Concerning the contract - You can not get in to decorate until 4:30pm and you have to clean up and be out by 10:00pm. All the event coordinator did was nag nag nag about setting up and hurrying the reception to clean up - talk about sucking the joy out of the day. There's no running water, aside from the restrooms, and no kitchen so catering is challenging. I have planned and hosted many events in my career and I can honestly say this was the most difficult venue I have ever dealt with. For $800 spent, I would've gone with the History Center instead, it is half the price and you get it all day. Staff - This is the biggest turn off for me and the cause of my regret. It is one thing to be rude and snobbish behind the curtain, but it is an entirely different ballgame when you have multiple GUESTS complain to you about how rude the coordinator was to them at the event! I was so embarrassed. They kept asking me "Who is that cranky lady? Why is she here?" I found it unprofessional that she had to be so involved in the event yet so unhelpful. All of my photos have her in the background crossing her arms like a curmudgeon little gnome. I had to spend hours trying to Photoshop her surly mug out of my pics and some could not be saved. The other gentleman she had on staff was more polite and helpful but completely indifferent. A guest overheard him on his cell phone complaining as the ceremony was beginning that he couldn't take his car to the mechanic because he forgot he had a wedding to manage He did redeem himself by taking us to the forbidden organ to get private photos though. Overall, everyone was uncomfortable by their presence. They were unresponsive during the planning phase leading up to the wedding as well. Correspondence went unanswered or got pushed off and things they said they would do, they didn't. I only gave it three stars because the venue is gorgeous and I love music. If it had been based on the administration itself, they would've been lucky to get one meager star.
