A great hike. It took me 1.5 hours up and 45 minutes down. If you are a hiker the hike up could be much shorter. Beautiful views. At peak you look down on hawks, bald eagles, and Jordan pond.

As shared previously, Northwest is tough--fairly steep with lots of scrambling. Wouldn't recommend it after a rain or particularly dewy night. I took it both ways and it took more time coming back down. There is a fun split in the trail about half way up. I used the ledge going up and the ravine going down without issues. Also, parking is very limited at the head of the Northwest trail because it starts at the same place as many of the Bubbles trails. If you arrive before 9AM, you're probably safe.

Whatever you do, make sure you go UP the Northwest Trail and DOWN the South Trail. Beautiful views and some strenuous sections. Seriously the Northwest Trail is wayyyyy steeper than the other, you don't want to go down that side lol

The hike to the summit of Pemetic Mountain was the most difficult hike we took throughout our Acadia adventures and it was very rewarding. We started our hike at the Jordan Pond North parking lot and followed the east side of Jordan Pond up to the Jordan Pond Carry Trail. After a forested moderate climb up we crossed Park Loop Rd and started the ascent up the Pemetic NW Trail. There is a major boulder field which probably lasts around 150 vertical feet that was quite challenging but doable. You keep climbing up sparsely wooded rock faces until you reach the summit. At the summit you are rewarded with views of Jordan Pond and the Atlantic. We then followed the Pemetic Mountain ridgeline to the South and back to the parking lot. In total it took us about 2.5 hours to complete the loop.

This is our new favorite hike in Acadia. Bubble Rock is a perfect warm up before crossing the street to the Pemetic trail.

Had a nice hike here, parked at Jordan Pond (got lucky with a spot) and walked along the east side of the pond until we got to the south bubbles. Turned right and headed up the road and then started up the north ridge trail. Some steep sections but nothing too challenging. The summit is beautiful with great views to the south and west. Headed down the south trail back to Jordan Pond for a nice loop.
