  • Go when its dry as the road may wash out. At one point the road becomes unpaved, but it's not too bad. The signs are clear, parking is ample and free, and the place itself is worth the visit. Georgia ...  more »
  • An afternoon walk after visiting Ghost Ranch. A rock lovers paradise. My pockets were full! Treasures from the earth.  more »
  • This area is amazingly beautiful. You can kind of see it from the road, but a 15 minute hike in puts you up close and personal. This place was a continuing inspiration for Georgia O'Keeffe.  more »

  • This gem is located on private property, but open to public. It's a photographers paradise, absolutely breathtaking especially at sunset or sunrise. You'll find porta jons in the small dirt parking lot. Take water no matter what time of the year, you will need it, guaranteed. The trails are short, we only stayed at the main front rock formations so I'm not sure how long or short the trails might be. This place was made famous by local artists. Georgia O'Keeffe made a series of paintings about this place, she called it "The White Place". Thank you Dar Al Islam for allowing us to enjoy this beautiful gem.
  • Second time here. Beautiful. Quiet stillness. Muslims can pray in two mosques nearby.
  • This place seems other worldly - the white sand formations are so out of the normal landscape, I definitely want to do some research!
  • Plaza Blanca may not be a national monument yet but it stacks up to the best of them. A great place to hike in the cool fall weather.
  • Beautiful place in a beautiful state!
