  • There a lot of videos of historical people of the west and factoids that are interesting, but not geared towards younger kids. Wished there was more hands on stuff. Would not recommend to kids age 6-7...  more »
  • Knew nothing about this new museum and was wowed from the start. Abilene is not the most exciting place I've ever lived or visited, but this museum truly brings the early history of the area and town ...  more »

  • I took my children to this museum. When my youngest who is 8 months old started making noise we were asked to go around the group ahead of us by one of the tour guides. We did not get to see most of the museum because I was worried about disturbing the other group that was there and did not want them saying something again. I am very disappointed.
  • Engaging history museum. I had an enjoyable time touring Frontier Texas. I enjoyed the artifacts and signs. There was plenty of historical content to read on numerous signs. However, there are also a number of interactive video displays that connect with the opening and closing videos.
  • This place is exactly what it sounds like. It is a strait history lesson. Probably not the most entertaining thing for small kids because there is a lot of reading and listening. Not many things you can interact with in this small museum. If you are bored and interested in history I would def recommend going. Also it is like two pokestops and I think a gym so there is that too.
  • Interesting, prices in shop are kind of high. Like display and the cattle wagon. A little hard to understand voices in some videos but reading about them helps. Interesting stories of people in Frontier life. Has free picture with big bison skull in the grass area.
  • Affordable, local place to visit. Interesting artifacts to see and informative about some of Texas history.
