The medieval castle is surrounded by a moat and is guarded by knights in armor. The entire family will enjoy a ride on the Storybook Land Express miniature train.

The Land of Oz located within Storybook Land portrays the well-known characters and settings of “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” written by L. Frank Baum. Dorothy’s House features a gift shop and offers a simulated tornado experience with special lighting and sound effects.

You can stroll down the yellow brick road, visit Dorothy’s Farmstead and Munchkin Land, take a ride on the 30-horse Allan Herschell carousel, enjoy the Wizard’s Balloon ride, or scale the 24-foot tall rock climbing wall.

  • This park was more than I expected! My teens parked themselves in the snack area with wifi, while my daughter, husband and I explored the surroundings. I would plan a full two hours maybe 3 to explore and do everything. It is free to enter but you will need $$$ for rides/snack. Think your child is too old? My almost 8 year old LOVED it!!!
  • Nice place! Was way too hot when I took my girls 6 and almost 2yr. They still had fun though! Will be back!! June 2016

  • First time visit. Tip, park in Storybook land parking lot, not along road to avoid more walking then necessary. Moved car once i realized this. Get tickets for train, carousel, other rides at gift shop or concession right when you get in. $14 for 10 tickets. 2 and under don't need one. 10 was enough for us with one kid at 2 yrs. Just didn't do balloon ride in land of oz. Do train right away. Runs every 12 min about. Sit in back to avoid diesel fumes. Wasn't much but will avoid near front next time. Don't bother listening to driver giving tour over speaker. All garble....kinda funny though. Now get your walking shoes on and prepare for miles. Dorothy's house has a cool tornado in it. Handle was broke on door but unlocked so had to jimmy it to open. Spent another $20 at thunder road for go-karts for the the kids. Well kept park. Amazing that its all free to see everything. The whole park and go-karts took us about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. May come back but kind of one of those have to go places and then you're good
