In the astronomy exhibit, visit the 19th-century observatory and a clock that tells the time based on the position of constellations. A biology exhibit displays preserved specimens of animals, plants, and fungi, including specimens of extinct species, such as the passenger pigeon and the Moa. • From 1/19/2017 2 nights 3 days we stayed in York. Stay away was B & B York on pets grubu. By using the 1/20, day purchased at the information centre York pass has an authentic tourism. The first Minster, watching the York Castle Museum, Clifford Tower and and can then chocolate store, then, has been allowed in this facility. I think using the York pass, so admission is not sure, but maybe 7.5 pounds. Japan Yen is about 1300 yen?. And on the first floor and the basement was on the second floor. At the entrance, a male staff member told the floor plan. Not much at this price because we in Italy sees a lot of museum exhibit that was discouraged. Not hear the explanation for the historical relics, and don't think that you don't understand, and exhibits from paying all the way, admission to.

  • This is an archaeological and historical museum, much improved in recent years. A Roman atrium with projected characters speaking to you is an excellent way of taking about Roman life. The usual stuff...  more »
  • For the price of the tickets, we expected something more. It was just okay with the usual exhibits that you would expect from a museum. The collection was just okay. The plus are the ruins of the abbe...  more »

  • Get a membership for the three big York museums. This is a family friendly place and the price of a normal daily ticket isn't bad at all. All displays were in order and everything was clean and well labeled. Outside you can explore the gardens and walk down to the river. There are great places to eat within 5 minutes.
  • This is a great museum! It was recommended by Rick Steves guide book and we are really pleased with how nice the museum was, along with the ruins outside. The staff was very helpful and informative. This is a great place to bring children. There is also a nice baby changing/feeding room, and places to sit through out.
  • The most exciting part is to understand about the ruins from a Roman fortifications that has beside the museum and also behind its construction.
  • Nice museum, but a little bit small. To me,the museum garden is more fun than the inside.
  • Well presented and thoughtfully put together displays on the history of Yorkshire, with nice snippets about life in Roman and Medieval times.
