  • This tour is absolutely excellent. Our tour guide was very informative, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I think he was called Nick. I wasn't expecting much- just taking an over excited eight year old but I really enjoyed it too. We tested 7 different things. They were more to demonstrate a point each than be big sized but it was engaging. Also made a chocolate lolly which was cleverly done. Enjoyed seeing filled chocolates being made too. Can you see I enjoyed it.....
  • This place is brilliant! - The tour is very interesting and the guide we had was very good. She managed to get through the whole tour without killing the annoying child who had verbal diarrhea at every point. We barely went 10m without getting to sample something from the stage of chocolate manufacture or history. It is very informative and very well done. It took about 75 minutes for the tour and just the right amount of information to keep it interesting and fun. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and I cant fault their customer service at all. We did the top and tail tour saving some money, but it was well worth the full price. - The cafe downstairs is pretty good value, compared to local alternatives. The hot chocolates are superb!
  • Not bad, but not interactive and 90% of tour is you being spoken to by the guide, while you look at items on walls. Receive a total of 3 items of chocolate, and then able to 'make' a chocolate lolly. (You can add toppings to provided molten chocolate before it hardens) There is no parking anywhere nearby, you have to navigate the one way systems, find a car park and then walk into the shopping area to find the 'museum' (building used to be a bookstore)
  • I would highly recommend York's Chocolate Story. Tom our guide very informative and enthusiastic. You got samples of chocolate during most of the tour, you even got to make and decorate your own chocolate lolly. The tour takes roughly just over an hour but you can stay longer and look around. There is a shop and café downstairs.
  • Great value - fab hour for the kids. They get to make a lolly pop – and try old fashioned chocolates. The guide is engaging and entertaining. Well worth a visit - a very interesting talk, book online though and look for vouchers and save.
