  • Lovely presentation of history of chocolate w/ Matthew I also made my own chocolate which I was absolutely in love with. Wonderful place to visit
  • Just stopped by here to buy some chocolate. Ended up having some mint tea too. They have got good options at chocolates. Friendly staff
  • The tour was fun, interesting & interactive, with lots of chocolate samples along the way! The tour guide was upbeat & informative & you even get to make & take away your very own chocolate lollipop! ...  more »

  • Yum. As well as the history of chocolate making in the city, you get plenty of tasting chances, and also the opportunity to make your own chocolate lolly. A good couple of hours, and then lots to spend your money on it the shop after. A touch pricey if you're there as a family / group.
  • Fantastic tour through the history of chocolate industry in York, virtual experience of processing cocoa and hands on chocolate lolly making. Best of all plenty of tasting. Really top marks to our tour guide and chocolatiers. All in all a great and recommended experience.
  • Our top visit in York. We usually like castles, old pubs and Northern accents and all that but we like this tour of York's chocolate history so much more. We enjoyed tasty chocolate sampling throughout and a concise history of York's role in the chocolate we know and love. Plus a fun making session at the end!
  • What a great little tour, great guide. Tour lasted 1hr 15 mins, plenty of little tasters and make your own lolly. And a not very big shop which I think is a plus.
  • Incredible! Our tour guide Nick was very engaging and made the entire experience thoroughly interesting. Lots of little tasters made it worth the money and all the staff were lovely and helpful. Would say that the shop is a little over-priced but would certainly recommend!
