From the outside you wouldn't believe they could provide such a good tour within. Our guide was fantastic, acting out her role with aplomb and helping bring the whole story to life. There is great use of technology and I was genuinely surprised to hear about the history of some of my favourite chocolate bars and confectionery. Plenty of tasting and interaction throughout topped off by a visit to the excellent shop.

Very interesting, well paced tour of the history of chocolate in York. This is not a factory tour but a journey through various rooms where the story is told in an entertaining way culminating in an opportunity to decorate your own chocolate lollipop. Great fun for kids but interesting enough for adults to enjoy too. Can get busy. We bought our tickets the previous day for a specific time slot.

A very well articulated and planned chocolate show that provides audience with a lot of historical information about the chocolate industry. Also it gives an interesting and interactive experience about the chocolate manufacturing. In addition to tasting various chocolate ingredients. Our tour lasted for one hour and was headed by Mr Lee, who provided a lot of information with touch of humorous. At the end of the tour also visitors will experience making their own chocolate bar.

Fun and Interesting, just long enough. We went there as a family, two adults and one 6 y.o. This kept the daughter interested, and the chocolate experience was fun and interesting. It's mostly geared up for older children & adults rather than for children; our daughter enjoyed though, mostly because we made a chocolate lolly :) We did enjoy some random chocolate-related samples to illustrate the history of chocolate. The staff who did the tour was lively and entertaining too. Overall, a lovely experience well worth the visit whenever you're in York!

Very interesting place to visit and to learn about the history of chocolate and the multiple choclate companies that we now have. The tour guide was very good and full of energy about the topic and really brought the information to life. I would have liked a little bit more space (time wise) between groups as you could hear / see what was happening next due to the previous group only just being ahead of you.
