York Maze, York
(4.5/5 based on 1,600+ reviews on the web)
Navigate a giant corn labyrinth and play other farmland games at York Maze. The venue plants over one million corn stalks each year over an area spanning more than ten soccer fields, leaving paths that form a maze as the corn grows. As you navigate the labyrinth, try to solve Kernel Kernel's challenges to win prizes. When you're finished, hop aboard a tractor-driven trailer to help keep "crows" at bay. You'll get wet on this ride, so wear appropriate clothing. The site also offers a "cobstacle" course to negotiate, hay-bale pyramids to climb, a maze of illusions to witness, and many other attractions. The Yorkshire Dragon BBQ serves locally sourced, grilled food. Remember to wear suitable footwear around the site because you'll be walking around a field. The maze is a seasonal attraction open in July and August; check for exact dates in advance. Plan to visit York Maze during your York vacation using our convenient York vacation trip planner.

  • Definately worth a visit. Bit pricey to get in but then all activities are free so worth it. Can easily spend a full day here. Tons of fun for all ages!
  • Quite simply put, a maze, outdoors, walking & finding the exits. No pens or maps provided. If you get lost, put your left hand on the left wall, follow the left wall around very literally & eventually...  more »

  • Absolutely fantastic day out. Highly recommended. The entertainers were great. The staff were helpful and kind. Facilities excellent and clean. Lovely picnic spot but food looked reasonably priced anyway. Loved the maze. Loads of other things to do and not much to pay, other than the admission (electric quads were only £1 and you can ride with your small child) . Free crazy golf? Go on then! Tractor ride and show were fun. Loads of things we never did because we were worn out! Will deffo be back! Ten stars, from us!
  • Did family Halloween day and Hallowscream and loved both. Hallowscream was a little pricey for only 5 attractions that you could only do once each. Would definitely suggest RIP tickets as queues were massive but due to our RIP tickets the whole experience was over in only 2 hours, including food. Loved the family day Phantomine and Ghost tractor ride. Loads of family fun.
  • Excellent day one of my best this summer but be wary you might want to get there quickly because there is so much stuff to do we arrived at 10:30 and left at 5:30 amd we still didn't get through everything!! Also food is reasonably priced and is rather good quality. Over all this is a great family day out and you will never run out of things to do!!
  • what a pleasant surprise. Had lots of fun at Hallowscream York maze. With a café, bar and coffe shop (not the cheapest) there is something for everyone, if you are looking for some good clean fun.
  • Fantastic for the kids..of all ages 😉 They work extremely hard to keep the kids entertained. The Crobot Show, Pig racing and the tractor ride were all very entertaining and full of cheesy puns. The sandpit and play area is huge! There's enough toilets so you're not queuing ages. My favourite is the House of Confusion..brilliant fun! Love it, been twice and will go again. 😊👌
