York Maze, York

4.5
#2 of 15 in Theme Parks in Yorkshire
Navigate a giant corn labyrinth and play other farmland games at York Maze. The venue plants over one million corn stalks each year over an area spanning more than ten soccer fields, leaving paths that form a maze as the corn grows. As you navigate the labyrinth, try to solve Kernel Kernel's challenges to win prizes. When you're finished, hop aboard a tractor-driven trailer to help keep "crows" at bay. You'll get wet on this ride, so wear appropriate clothing. The site also offers a "cobstacle" course to negotiate, hay-bale pyramids to climb, a maze of illusions to witness, and many other attractions. The Yorkshire Dragon BBQ serves locally sourced, grilled food. Remember to wear suitable footwear around the site because you'll be walking around a field. The maze is a seasonal attraction open in July and August; check for exact dates in advance. Discover how to plan a York trip in just a few steps with Inspirock's itinerary builder.

  • Brilliant day out. Great facilities for all the family. Great food. Not cheap but well worth it. It's become a yearly pilgrimage. Great fun.
  • What a truly unique and amazing place. A must do in the summer with the family unless it's wet...avoid wet days or days after a wet day. Very popular...all staff extremely helpful.
  • Absolutely fantastic day out. Highly recommended. The entertainers were great. The staff were helpful and kind. Facilities excellent and clean. Lovely picnic spot but food looked reasonably priced anyway. Loved the maze. Loads of other things to do and not much to pay, other than the admission (electric quads were only £1 and you can ride with your small child) . Free crazy golf? Go on then! Tractor ride and show were fun. Loads of things we never did because we were worn out! Will deffo be back! Ten stars, from us!
  • Great place for a wedding, and great place for glamping...
  • Excellent day one of my best this summer but be wary you might want to get there quickly because there is so much stuff to do we arrived at 10:30 and left at 5:30 amd we still didn't get through everything!! Also food is reasonably priced and is rather good quality. Over all this is a great family day out and you will never run out of things to do!!
