  • A wonderful building housing a great permanent collection as well as well curated exhibitions. Highly recommend the cafe run by Cafe No. 8
  • Just went to cafe. Standard museum prices, i.e little expensive but quality and quantity was there for bacon+egg and tea. Also ordered cappuccino which although nice standard size is really quite small. Great service overall can't fault it.
  • York's main art gallery has some interesting painting and sculptures in the permanent collection, but the main reason to visit is the fantastic centre of ceramic arts on the second floor. This fantastic collection is further enhanced with frequent talks, workshops and object handling sessions. the gallery has also hosts some very well curated temporary exhibitions. The gallery also has a decent cafe and pretty gardens. You can by a ticket which gives you access to the gallery and the main museums in York here.
  • Recently renovated. Fresh look. The entrance fee quite high so I only got as far as the foyer.
  • Looks like when the garden is finished this will be a lovely place. The work done has really paid off and it has some nice local stuff.
