  • Having stayed close to the Bar Convent was curious about the exhibition and what was inside the lovely building. Visited for the exhibition and really interesting , very good film show presentation of...  more »
  • It is a hotel with a history that began 300 years ago and today the convent was transformed into a Museum and Guest House. For those who besides staying want a different place, with very hospitable staff, breakfast very rich and history to enjoy... This is the appropriate place. There is an exhibition of the history of the place and a beautiful chapel to pray or simply admire. We enjoyed the stay because the staff is people who want that place, therefore leaves the best of it. I recommend it without a doubt.

  • Best full English breakfast ever! Friendly and helpful staff. We used one of the conference rooms and the service was spot on. I would definitely recommend!
  • Lovely garden setting for morning coffee, light lunches or something more substantial. Inside or out, this is a place to relax in and enjoy. Pleasant efficient staff. Cheek by jowl with Michaelgate Bar, so only a stone's throw from station and city centre. Parking in Nunnerygate round the corner.
  • Interesting museum exhibition, would only recommend for a short visit (30-45mins) however the cafe and garden are lovely so worth sticking around after.
  • Great stay. Friendly service, very peaceful, spotless clean rooms plus fabulous breakfast. You must visit the Chapel & the historical Exhibition concerning the history of the place.
  • Beautiful surroundings, indoors and out. Excellent service and fabulous food with a varied menu catering for gluten free and vegetarian.
