  • A magnificent building and a testament to the way York takes care of its heritage. This hall represents York at its height in the 14th and 15th century before it fell away in importance.
  • Incredible history and well worth a visit. Still being used as a wedding/reception venue, but well worth a look.
  • My first impression - the beautiful old building was standing on land so much lower than the pavement outside. Great illustration of how the centuries are built on layers. Just standing inside the Great Hall and letting the energy flow over you is an experience to be treasured. We had an amazing lunch afterwards at The Hairy Fig, situated behind.
  • Studding building and architecture. A warm and friendly place to hold your function.
  • Beautifully well maintained building.
  • Such an amazing building!!
  • Posh and elegant; old school sophistication and delightful dinner.
