  • Overall a decent bowling experience. We had two lanes of which one didn't work, but it was easy to switch lanes as there were very few people there. The whole place seemed tired, a lot of the lanes were faulty and the staff seemed a bit grumpy, not that I can really blame them for that. I went with a few friends and our French exchange students, it was good fun, although I wouldn't rely on MFA Bowl to do a birthday party or anything.
  • 2 members of staff and they seemed to have a party booking. Staff very busy and tried their best but have to wait if you want attention. Lane didn't work properly we were meant to be geating food with our booking but aparently the gas wasn't working and to be honest doubt there was any kitchen staff. Male toilets out of order. Rubbish would not recommend going. Do not give refunds :(
  • Wow - this place has gone to the dogs since its change of ownership from Bowlplex. You wouldn't think it was still a relatively new building. Grossly short-staffed considering it was the Christmas school holidays (about 3 people running the whole place from what we could see), no-one serving food at all, poor quality and range of drinks at the bar, no decent pool facilities any more, preferring trampolines instead, hardly any arcade games working, and the "music" … well you'd expect Christmas songs on December 23rd, but from an Internet radio stream and constantly stuttering? It was so distracting, it was actually putting us off our bowling. Oh yes - the bowling. Regularly had to reset our pins as they wouldn't set up correctly, and had to call one of the 3 overworked members of staff over once when our lane stopped working altogether. Lots of other lanes out of use, very few balls available to actually bowl with. They don't even care about getting you to wear bowling shoes any more. I wouldn't blame the actual members of staff (hence 2 stars, not 1) - they're doing their best in the circumstances they've been given. This is all down to terrible management. We still had fun, making the best of the situation, but seriously, this place has gone to pot, and we'd seriously reconsider whether it's worth going back in future. It'll probably close before such a decision needs to be made.
  • Absolutely disgusted by my experience here and have been trying to email head office for the past month with yet no reply to over 5 emails about my experience at their Yeovil premises. The amount of money they charge for the appalling service they offer is ridiculous, we were placed on a broken lane where you couldn't even have a game with us getting increasingly annoyed after notifying them numerous times about issues from the pins being knocked over pre go, the pins that have been knocked over don't get counted towards the score etc etc. We then got moved only for me to chat to another angry customer who had already been on the broken lane I was previously on so MFA Bowl knowingly put us on a broken lane just to make more money. Conveniently they do not offer refunds on the premise but instead to message head office which I have not had any luck with. Whatever you do, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME ON THIS CRAP ESTABLISHMENT!
  • Booked and then when we got there booking wasn't on system so had to wait. Lanes not working and scoring incorrectly. A number of staff sat in office when customers waiting. Paid for 2 games only used one, manager wouldn't give a refund.
