  • Fairly typical NT place. Rich family still live there and lock off part of the property to the public, while still being the tax and benefits of being NT. Grounds are ok and there's a small play area. Nothing special on site and the guides are pretty benign.
  • Some great walks with magnificent views of the countryside, just bring suitable footware as it can be a little muddy and slippy even if it rained the day before. The house is great the have a walk around and I loved the walled garden. They even grow grapes in the garden for wine you can often purchase. Nearly 1000 years of family history. Will visit again.
  • Grounds so lovely that I've never made it into the main house. Brilliant giant rope swing for the kids to play on, and if you fancy a longer walk you can head to the Bronze Age fort of Croft Ambrey. Cafe is also excellent if you need a coffee or some food.
  • Our family really enjoyed Croft Castle. Easier that others when it comes to wheelchair access. A good relaxing afternoon with very knowledgeable staff.
  • A beautiful castle with a very interesting history. Plus, according to my girls, the children's play area is awesome!
