  • This was my favourite place to visit on the island (that I have been to so far). The price was well worth the attraction. My husband & I spent a few hours here, taking the steam train ride to the othe...  more »
  • You could easily spend the whole day here. We did not go on the trains this time, as we were on the way to the ferry. But the platform only tickets were excellent value and the staff very knowledgeabl...  more »
  • The carriage we were in was restored so well, it was easily one of the best I have ever seen. It's a short journey and we tied in to the 'Island line' train from Smallbrook Junction. We stopped at Hav...  more »

  • Excellent experience of a really authentic vintage railway setting. The work put in by volunteers has really paid off. We were lucky to go on a day that a group of children visited in wartime evacuation dress. I hope they enjoyed it much as my wife and I. One small point - wartime music or at least 50s 60s music in the tea room would round it off perfectly...
  • Would have given six or more stars but the limits five. Took my wife with me, who, although has limited mobility, was in a wheel chair. Station, platform and train staff were very helpful despite the access around the main station being accessible. Food in their restaurant was good and the disabled toilets clean and accessible. I would recommend to anyone who wants a good day out.
  • One of the best steam railways in the country, with vintage carriages, some over one hundred years old, lovingly restored and pulled behind steam engines. Everything possible has been done to recreate the atmosphere of a pre-war rural railway. Excellent museum exhibition and a good cafĂ©. A great day out for all the family.
  • Great place to spend the day. Good value for money. Great staff and spot on food
  • Loved it! Just loved it. It was fantastic, well priced, well connected, great staff, great trains, great Museum - it's brilliant just go if you enjoy steam trains you won't be disappointed.
