  • BEWARE: Their roses are supplied in 6L containers, with only enough growing medium for a maximum of 12 months from date of potting (which is not marked). If they have been in transit, and/or at the garden centre for any length of time your 12-month guarantee may have run out before you've even got them home! Also, their potting medium is peat. Peat is a non renewable natural rarity which takes millions of years to form, and its use in this way contributes to the complete extinction of rare bog flora & fauna. It has no natural nutrients for your roses, and if allowed to dry out it cannot be resuscitated and your roses are dead. [The roses I bought grew all week and droopy (and diseased) - and that's after replanting in fertile bio-friendly soil or compost.]
  • A beautiful place to spend the day. The nursery is much more than a garden centre. There are a range of eateries, selling beautifully prepared food and drink. We spent hours wandering the ornamental gardens, surrounded by the most beautiful roses and a pair of peacocks too. The gift shop and plant purchasing areas are equally delightful. Will absolutely go every year.
  • The home of the world famous David Austin roses is a wonderful place to visit. The beautifully tended rose gardens and Rose Walk are a riot of colour and scents. Almost every rose is labelled and visitors can help themselves to a very comprehensive, free catalogue to take away. The restaurant was very busy and only takes reservations for Afternoon Teas. However the tearoom was much quieter and the food was delicious. Our cream tea was served in the beautiful David Austin China which is available to purchase in the delightful gift shop. A very highly recommended visit.
  • A very well organised garden centre. The focus is on Roses with other plants available. The Rose Garden and shop are exemplary. The cafe serves delicious tea and cake. A first rate experience.
  • Lovely Nursery and fantastic gardens to visit. a large area of Roses laid out so you can see how they will grow in your garden. Like visiting a stately home!
