  • I was truly surprised by the amount of fun in this simulator. I have flown a real Spit and been in many simulators B747 etc, but this was just great. I can't recommend it enough. I want to go again, and will do so next year. In fact I want one ! Brian was a great tutor and that made it fun and exciting . My friend with me had no flying experience ,but thanks to Brian managed a good flight including landing and also flying under a bridge. P.s. There is a v. good pub close by for a decent lunch.
  • From the outside, there is an old, unassuming barn, no fancy banners or advertising. Step inside and you enter a WWII pilots hut, photos and memorabilia line the walls. At the far end is a replica Spitfire cockpit, authentic inside to the last detail. The display consists of 3 large screens that fill your vision once strapped in the pilot's seat and the amazing sound as the engine fires into life will rattle through your body. The experience is totally immersive, the cockpit may not move but I guarantee you will be leaning inside the cockpit as you bank hard to buzz the control tower on the airfield. The realism that the team have created is extraordinary, they have spent hundreds of hours fine tuning the cockpit controls and the flight simulator software to make it as authentic as possible. Read the visitors book and see how impressed ex-Spitfire pilots have been - what better recommendation is there ? The small team that run the simulator are all incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable. They clearly enjoy sharing their creation and make every moment of the experience fun and exciting. It makes no difference what level of experience you have, even if you have never played on a simulator game, they will make sure you leave feeling like an ace Spitfire pilot. Don't hesitate, come and try it. You will book up for another go !
