What a wonderful find! We visited on a rainy day and the gardens were beautiful! Very peaceful and a relaxing place to visit. Well done to all the volunteers who look after the gardens so well.
Beautiful place, lovely flowers and plants of various varieties. The garden is beautifully structured and magnificently laid out. If you love nature this is a must see place. The views of lake Windermere ain't bad either!
A nice garden that was laid out well. Access to most areas was reasonable, but not everywhere is wheelchair accessible. A fantastic collection of plants.
We were fortunate to visit on a lovely sunny day and really enjoyed these gardens. Lovely mix of formal and informal gardens with fabulous views across to Windermere. Make sure to take the short walk down to the garden's very own tarn in a very peaceful and natural setting.
Beautiful garden not too far from Windermere. And it’s free! There’s a box by the walled garden for donations. Spent a very enjoyable couple of hours here on a lovely sunny day. Small car park (but ample on the day we visited) and the gardens were not crowded. Great views from the area below the Leonard Cheshire building (no public access). Small area with plant sales - couldn’t resist. Peaceful.
