Marvel at this internationally renowned educational resource center housed in a 3,500 sq m (37,675 sq ft) purpose-built structure. Intended to promote science, technology, engineering, and math, Winchester Science Centre offers 100 hands-on exhibits linked to an online curriculum. The on-site education team offers a variety of workshops for students, advise teachers, and present a range of lectures and science shows to the wider community. The state-of-the-art dome is the largest-capacity digital planetarium in the UK, seating 176. See one of the prerecorded or live planetarium shows.   • Been to museum and Planetarium for santa show and enjoyed to full extent. My kids aged 5 and 3 had fun watching santa interactive show in Planetarium and had nice time in museum as well. Surely recomm...  more »
  • Beautiful Planetarium, the guide spoke English fluently and slow enough so that everyone could understand. Lots of interactive games, beautiful even those

  • We were there all day with our grandchildren. We all enjoyed the activities at the centre, including the outdoor one. The children were kept extremely well amused, dashing from one exhibit to another. Most of the children shared very well. We were disappointed about two aspects however: the food on offer in the cafe was very poor, particularly the children's boxes with their wafer-thin sandwiches which 'shouldn't be allowed' as my grandson said. And the planetarium show at 12.10 (using satellites in space) was boring, and was VERY poorly presented: it was often impossible to work out what the presenter was saying because of the weird intonation. So we would definitely recommend a visit, but take your own picnic, and don't bother with the planetarium.
  • I went one morning and stayed the afternoon the cafĂ© and activities was excellent and there's a Sunday Science club as well! We arrived by bus which was excellent as well!
  • Great place to visit with kids. Lots of hands on exhibits and the Planetarium is great.
  • Great experience for Children, my 7 year old spent 7 hours of excitement, learning about science through various activities, she loved it and now wants to be a 'Science Teacher'!
  • The monthly Wednesday adult science lectures are the best. Always an interesting topic with a great speaker. Then followed by a really cool planetarium show!
