  • Hidden away at the top of the high street is the entrance door on the West gate to this great little museum. Missed by most people that visit Winchester. Highly recommended that you spend 30 minutes exploring this fascinating place and learning more about the history of the city.
  • One of the two remaining Winchester city gates, this is well worth a visit to examine the medieval structure itself, the views of the city from the roof (for the reasonably agile), and the contents illustrating its later historical uses.
