  • Visited Marwell on a sunny day at the start of April with three friends, the zoo in its self is great for the size. You can walk around it in a day with time for lunch. I would say take a picnic with ...  more »
  • Visisted last weekend, nice hot day (in April?). We packed a lunch but forgot to take it and left in the car, you walk away from the carpark to enter and then all around the park back to the entrance ...  more »
  • I think we have been spoilt living close to Chester zoo in Cheshire because the standard of the zoo and the animals on show at Chester far outweigh what's on offer at Marwell zoo. After a 5 hour drive...  more »

  • This is a wonderful zoo which enables you to experience some of the great species of the world in relatively natural surroundings. A great deal to cram into one day but there is something for all the family and the talks by the keepers are interesting and informative. A good restaurant and cafe provide opportunities for you to rest your legs. Some great photographic opportunities.
  • I really enjoyed my day out to Marwell Zoo, this zoo has a mixed feel of a well organised zoo and a national trust property. The only issue I had was the toilets are not in the same place as the Cafe. If you are selling teas and coffee you should provide a toilet that is close. Very good zoo and a good few cafes/Picnic areas and good animals
  • I love Marwell Zoo! It's such a great experience to just go and walk around, see lots of different animals! Anyone else enjoy it? Also it's not too expensive 😉😉😉
  • Allow at least 2 hours minimum but seeing everything at a reasonable pace will take more than 4 hours. Easy to spend a full day. Restaurant is reasonable with basic meals. Easy access everywhere. Staff helpful and informative.
  • This is the 4th Zoo I have visited this year and is a delight! The range of animals is good. The enclosures are well maintained. Really well planned and set-out. I really enjoyed this day out. It would be more amazing for children/family days out. I would like to come back in 2018 when the new tropical enclosure has been built. I think that will be a huge asset. The park took us about 3 hours to complete at a slow'ish pace. We stopped for a hot chocolate too. I recommend this Zoo to anyone who loves animals.
