  • Quiet and peaceful church built in and around the remains of the abbey that used to stand here. Mr Milligan's final resting spot.

  • A beautiful church in a fabulous village. Church was being decorated with flowers whilst we were there and it seemed to have a very active church community. Fascinating history well worth the visit.

  • Beautiful place shows unbelievable architecture and the ground are to die for excuse the pun but what an amazing peace of history
  • One of the most beautiful churches in Sussex
  • History, architecture, ruins, art great place to visit.
  • Beautiful grounds, building and artifacts.
  • I had a 1 week holiday in the area and in the last day I visited Winchelsea. I wanted to see the church, because I knew that there are so many old (4-5-600 years) churches in the area. Unfortunately the church was closed that time I went there (it was late afternoon), so I just walked around and took a few pictures of the graveyard and outside of the building. very nice architecture what I see, however, one side the big blue modern clock is very weird for me. I could not find information about the history, but i doubt that the clock is also would be few hundred years... This is really spoiling the picture. Otherwise it is a nice church and I am sure it worth to have a look inside, too, if someone is visiting in opening hours.
