Not the biggest of places but I thought this was well worth a visit. Good history of the local area with some nice things to see. Great for kids with things to do and colour. more »
This place is a little hidden gem for those people that are curious about even the most obscure parts of Wigan history. It's got an amazing library upstairs with books, references and unique photographs/ drawings going back hundreds of years. There are great interactive displays for kids too. Not the largest and fanciest place in the world but everyone should visit once.
Its amazing how much history wigan has and the Egyptian exibit is really good .you would never know wigan had Egyptian artifacts. Very fascinating and the staff are so friendly and helpful and do their best to help answer your questions .well worth the visit
