  • Bigger than you think. Still wanting to visit the butterfly house. Great friendly kids play area. Expensive ice cream parlour. Are there any toilets yet?
  • This is a beautiful park in Widnes, Cheshire. The park has a modern children's play area, with a fantastic set of touch sensitive water features which the kids love. There's a duck pond (be wary of the geese), coffee shop, skate/bike park, and much more. Great place to go if youre in the area and fancy a bit of fresh air.
  • What can I say. it's the best way of spending time with the kids and knowing that you can keep an eye on them plus it's a great place to walk around
  • Widnes - Victoria Park - SELECT Services Complaint - Generally I enjoy walking in Victoria Park but of late I have noticed that the Select Security staff who attend the park are closing the gates FAR TOO EARLY. Last night (14-JUNE-2016) they LOCKED several people in without warning. Furthermore, as we were exiting the park last night by the last gate the Select Security employee (who could quite clearly see us walking towards the gate at 9:45 pm turned the key in the last lock and started walking off. It was only after much whistling and shouting that he reluctantly turned back and re-opened the small gate beside the Main Gate. As it was only 9:50 at that point we asked him why he was closing early. He mumbled that his watch said that it was already 10:00 pm. He refused to give his name and kept saying that our watches and mobile phones were all wrong and that his watch (which he never showed) was right. If I go to a football match, I expect the Ref to stay for the full match not walk off 10-15 mins early because he wants his tea! This kind of sloppy timekeeping behaviour should not be accepted by the public or the Council - the LAST GATE should be CLEARLY sign-posted and that gate should only be locked at the posted time e.g. 10:00 pm for Summer.
  • Great family day out. Loads to do. Child's wet play area. Modern and safe.
