  • The voluntary staff were very friendly ,explained a few things then left us to enjoy the roll back years
  • The Museum is inconspicuous near the port and not particularly interesting looks from the outside. Inside, however, is a large variety of exhibits on local history - and the whole thing is well prepared. The rooms of several houses including basement and attic are used as exhibition spaces and you can spend two hours there easily. I found it interesting especially the reports on maritime disasters and also the printing house.

  • The museum was splendid. The exhibition is very interesting and lovingly prepared. Especially the prized collection of restored photographs from the 19th century is well worth the £4 entrance fee. If the extensive museum is not enough there is a lovely garden out back with great views over the harbour area.
  • Allow plenty of time to enjoy this labyrinth of Wick history
  • Really amazing collection of material spanning a large range of time in Wick. Allow yourself plenty of time if you are the sort that enjoys seeing artifacts from the full spectrum-from herring fishing and packing to printing, photography, and more.
