  • Not as much to see as the road side facade might suggest. It has a little cafe on site which serves tasty cakes along with the standard array of beverages and ice creams. There is a £1 charge for the car park. If the machine is out of order you can pay in the cafe. Won't take long to see everything, so if you want to kill more time and you have youngish kids with you, there is a play area in short walking distance. Head out of the car park entrance over the more and onto the pavement, you will see a path immediately on you left. This takes you to the little play park.
  • What a stunning peice of history tucked away in a picturesque village just 3 miles from my home. No entry fee, just pay £1 for parking. On site cafe, bookshop, gift shop.
  • Well worth a visit lovely little gem a good spot for children to feed the ducks
  • Lovely picturesque castle and moat, free entry, but mainly ruins to walk round and one inside bit. Second hand bookshop, cafe, gift shop and toilets. The reenactments here are excellent see their website
  • Worth the pound parking as it is free entrance. good for an half hour wander with the dog and you can either picnic or eat in the cafe Also a book shop which I didn't visit. Couple of interpretation boards
