  • Spent an hour here on Sunday morning. The wave machine goes very half hour and the slide was enjoyed by both children. A nice leisure pool that's worth travelling for.  more »
  • My 11 year old Son has had swimming lessons since he was 4.5 years old & he loved his previous swimming instructor Gab. Unfortunately Gab has now left & he has got a new instructor Dionne who spends a...  more »
  • We travel to Waves swimming pool at Whitley Bay or Washington leisure centre as our local pool at Chester le Street is rubbish in comparison. The pool is large, free form and starts with a shallow edg...  more »
  • Good place to come with the kids for swimming, plenty of options and the tots Pirate Ship with slides is great. Only 4 stars as it's never very warm, we can only be in at most 45mins with a under 2yr old.
  • Used to come here years ago. Glad to see the place has been upgraded and is still open. Looks very modern now and pool is great. Big slide, waves and a pirate ship for the little ones... Prices are good too with my family of four swimming for 20quid. Will be going back for sure
  • Over priced for a fairly average kiddies pool. Young and inexperienced life guards. Waves way too big for little kids. My 6 year olds where bored very quickly. Won't bother going back as Blyth or Preston pools much better.
  • Not enough equipment to use in the gym. P, If you want few lengths without unsupervised, noisey kids in the way, forget it! Spa is ok but again massively over subscribed.
  • A fair sized gym, pool and excellent classes. Can get extremely busy at peak times so should either cap membership or expand. Gym instructors are helpful and friendly but some of the reception staff could do with some customer service training.
