  • Although this is an interesting building and the "skeleton" staff do their best to help you enjoy your visit, there is not much left of this building internally due to unrepaired extensive fire damage...  more »
  • A lot of the rooms look very bare and empty. I got in for free entry as I am disabled. The cafe is nice on the other hand.
  • Seaton Delaval is not quite your normal NT House because of the fire in the 19th century. The main house is a lovely paladian style house but the inside is fascinating, not because of the furnishings ...  more »

  • I love Seaton Delaval Hall. I grew up down the road and now that it is accessible because of National Trust I just love visiting. Lots of history and stories to learn and if you're lucky the Norman Church - The Church of Our Lady, will be open for you to see. It's the oldest church in the UK that is still in use! It does need some work doing to the arch so be sure to stop by with a small donation!
  • Beautiful for summer visits very lacking in autumn/winter months nothing but grounds and main hall open shame there's so much more could be done with a beautiful estate
  • Its still early days here, it's not been long since the National Trust have taken it over. The house is impressive if still bearing the signs of the fire, however the grounds are marvellous.
  • Gorgeous sunny day and we went when there was a pirate themed day. Would go back on another sunny day as there is loads of space for sitting down and playing some field games. Very nice
  • A lovely place to visit, it's not large and only takes a few hours to walk around the gardens and see the house some of which is a ruin but worth a visit.
