  • What a beautiful place this is. Absolutely love it here. I have been coming to Whitby for over 20 years I never have and never will get tired of seeing the Abbey. Stunning. The atmosphere here is electric. If you love history and old architecture then it's a must. The fact that it's set on the cliff tops surrounded by stunning scenery is just a massive bonus. The great thing about this place is its accessibility. The car park is right next to the Abbey. The car park has toilets and disabled access. I highly recommend a visit to the Abbey. I come here several times per year as I'm a coach driver.
  • Went for the Vikings weekend. Just brilliant. Lovely show put on by the Vikings. Living history was excellent as was the fighting between the Saxons and Norman's. Very atmospheric. Highly recommend
  • Fantastic place to visit, especially if u pay for guided talk/walk. the history is amazing, and the hand held recorders/ earphones allow you wander around on your own, at your own pace. Well worth a visit up the 199 steps by the church.
  • Definitely worth a visit. There is an audio option so you can really get to know what everything is. Beautiful building with lots of history behind it. Set in such a lovely surrounding. I really enjoyed our visit. Lovely little gift shop too.
  • Beautiful place with so much history. The architecture is out of this world. The events they hold there can be amazing. Been to a Viking one and it was fantastic. Really look forward to visiting again.
