  • I was happy to read that Ray "Clean shoe" Lovett won't be bringing any boats to Bugsworth Basin. Apparently the Canada geese have spoiled his pleasure . What a shame. I for one won't miss old Clean shoe or the filthy cloudy water he kicks up.Making it Impossible for pike to see any lure. Suck it up Ray. Like we have to do.
  • Lovely spot at the end of the Peak Forest canal. Well worth a visit for the history.
  • Visit by boat is no longer a pleasure. The mess left by the huge number of Canada Geese is a disgrace. It has ruined a lovely attraction.
  • Lovevly views nice place for a walk
  • Bugsworth Basin is a lovely place to take a walk or a picnic. It's one of the nicest canal-side setting and it's incredible how much work has gone into restoring this place. Beautiful stone bridges and an informative info centre. It's amazing to think of it in its heyday when up to 100 boats were going in and out loaded up with limestone from the Peak District. It's also home to the Navigation Inn; a great little pub, and also Wandering Duck; the hosted canal boat experience.
