  • Such An atmospheric place. Being a boater I love staying here. With so much history to discover it never ceases to enthrall. It is also kept clean and tidy by it's warden so all in all a pleasure.
  • I have moored by narrowboat Ezri here three time in the space of a year (2016/17) and each time I have been make to feel welcome warmly and friendly by everyone there. They go out there way to help. Keeping the history of the place alive A place of pace at the end of peak Forest canal.
  • Lovely spot at the end of the Peak Forest canal. Well worth a visit for the history.
  • Bugsworth Basin is a lovely place to take a walk or a picnic. It's one of the nicest canal-side setting and it's incredible how much work has gone into restoring this place. Beautiful stone bridges and an informative info centre. It's amazing to think of it in its heyday when up to 100 boats were going in and out loaded up with limestone from the Peak District. It's also home to the Navigation Inn; a great little pub, and also Wandering Duck; the hosted canal boat experience.
  • A lovely evening walk
