  • Our first visit to the camp this weekend , thoroughly enjoyed it, room was great no frills very clean amazing food great entertainment was very good value all round , people were very friendly . Looked lovely compared to the other Pontins camps I have been to. I am just about to book again for one of there themed breaks in October . Thankyou Pontins lovely camp .
  • An awful stay :( Swimming pool closed even though I'd been told it would be open, the walls of the room were stained, the furniture did not match and was scruffy and scratched and very worn, the bed sheets didnt cover the mattress and there was peeling paint around the window frame....oh and the cigarette burn on the bathroom window sill. To finish it off there was extensive evidence of building work outside making even the view ugly. Dreadful :( Take a look at the photos I have posted on line...I can hardly believe any reputable organisation would charge for a room of this inferior standard Pontins refused a refund when I informed them of my concerns. They did offer a price reduction for my next visit, however I feel this offer was woefully inadequate in the circumstances. This was my first and last stay at a Pontins establishment. Please view the photos I have posted on line ......
  • Very basic apartments and not very clean in a lot of areas but the atmosphere was friendly and the food was good. Be prepared to join a long queue at every meal time and at the ball room bar.
  • What I'm going to say 're my experience at Pontins at Sand Bay where I have just got back from this afternoon is that it has scarred me for life.I was expecting a weekend of 60s fun, what I got was an eye opener of how to get ripped off.On arrival had to wait two hours before we could book in, to let the club members in first. The room was a disgrace, smelt of dirty drains, bathroom was black with mould all round the bath and windows and this was the second room, the first room on arrival had a hole in the ceiling with black mould surrounding it the smell was disgusting, water would have flooded in as it did rain badly on Saturday.. The food was bareable mass produced, but the half hour queue every meal time was frustrating, with wobbly tables, dirty cutlery, the carpet in the main dining hall was so badly stained looked unhealthy.Saved seats again people getting in the dining room before meal times and staking their tables with coats on back of chairs. Not acceptable behaviour. Now the entertainment, a 60s themned weekend is what we were expecting, we got two hours of bingo, stupid random quiz, treated us like children, and by 6 o'clock every evening no seats or tables to be had all reserved with coats and drinks, again, so had to stand all weekend in the main concert room where the main act was playing. Joke!!! By 8 o'clock people were grabbing chairs and tables from outside patios blocking every walking walkway, where were the management, God help you if every a fire broke out, you would never get out alive.. Found out from the locals living locally that Pontins open the doors to the general public for free entertainment, they got the seats and us paying guests had to stand most of the evenings.. Now the main acts, on the three nights we stayed all sang the same songs on every night they were on, all those ten years in the sixties years of fab music and sticking to the same twenty songs ??? What's that all about!! So my experience with Pontins at Sand Bay was filled with, stress, frustration, and my weekend of fun for the 60s was a total failure. People please be aware, not what is advertised!! Total rip off.....
  • I was a cleaner from September to February 2015-2016 SOME of the cleaners did a good job like myself Dave sinead Anne Marie did brilliant work remember each cleaner had there own area depending on area you stayed I did mostly 10 - 49 room there have been 4 staff that take shortcuts while ignoring health and safety mention no names my staff boss Paulette and steavey Bea were good bosses although there was favouritism amongst staff once I got sacked there cleaners were saying it's got bad without me
