  • Minsmere is the RSPB'S flag ship reserve and after visiting you'll see why. Its one of my favorite bolt holes anytime time of the year and the changes in the season's always bring new things. I've been into bird watching since I was a child but you don't have to be just to visit Minsmere. If you enjoy the great outdoors and nature Minsmere will deliver. The RSPB have made the reserve as accessible to everyone as they can what ever their age or ability there's something for everyone. There's ample parking as you drive onto the site which is free and a bike sheds. The visitors centre is your first port of call with the gift shop and cafe ajoined. All of the volunteers I've met can't be helpful enough so you'll get all the info whether you need it or not. From there with your site map you could have a short stroll to the woods or right around the site using all the hides scattered around the site the choice is yours. The RSPB have gone through a lot of trouble to develop the unique habitats to encourage nature in so you'll see something you normally wouldn't guaranteed. There is also an area for the kids for building dens or getting close to nature with info points and special events run all year. After a day's walking I recommend a visit to the cafe especially in the winter the cheese scones are especially good
  • A beautiful Nature Reserve with excellent facilities and activities for everyone. A lovely area to go for a walk around the reserve, lovely friendly staff and a great café to eat in. Very happy visiting here on many occasions
  • The RSPB have invested and made a beautiful, caring and fantastic haven for wildlife. I have been here over 26 times on a joint membership of £48 per year. The cafe is excellent as are all the staff. Its without doubt my most favourite place ever.
  • Relaxing day out. Binoculars for hire. Well maintained
  • Nice place for a walk or some interesting birding. Carpark can get full on warm days (or when there's a rare bird about). Helpful staff, good wheelchair access and pathway with hides for viewing dotted about. Don't miss the Sand Martin colony by the shop and outside dining area. Coffee wasn't great although portions of food were generous. Great place to spend a day
