As much as we enjoyed all of our previous sessions in Lakeside (came about 8/10times)....today was a real disappointment. We called in the afternoon to book a session, the lady on the phone told us "t... read more »

I am very disappointed that I was not allowed to use my go pro alough I did have my own helmet, a Marshall in the briefing room said I wasn't allowed to film because someone was filming and the camera flew off but I don't know if they used your helmets or the persons own helmet. Some of my racing friends was wanting to see my performance in the rain but they was let down as well as some of the viewers I've been getting recently, I don't see anywhere on the website or when I got there just to be informed that I can't film and it did put a massive hit on the trip. But the track overall it is incredibly amazing the Marshalling was pretty much like any other good tracks it took me a while to find the right lines I thought when I was running wide on the apex curve on turn 6, 7 was track extending but turn 6 I tried to avoid the bigger puddles turn 7, 10, 11 are my favourite corners of the track I do few like I have nailed em well especially the last bend when all I could do was just hug turn 9 then slide around turn 10 coming to the inside pushing coming out wide, smooth for the last corner getting great exit speed and the karts handle very well in the wet (mainly I used a booster seat just for grid for the wet) and the track is incredible with nice clean drivers it just sucks I couldn't film but other than that it was a great experience great karts great track I would try it again only if I could film and it was a good challenge for the wet.
The service we received was, frankly, a disgrace and I caution anyone from departing with their hard-earned money. Make careful note of the terms and conditions and, should you fall foul of them, say goodbye to your money. We arrived as group on a 'stag day'. It was raining as we arrived, and had been fro some time. A downpour was forecast for 18:50. When it arrived, right on schedule, our session was cancelled and we were informed that we would not be refunded as it was 'an act of God'. We quietly protested that this was absurd and that we had not been provided with the service promised. The staff refused to make any contact with anyone higher up to resolve our issue, and had been programmed to stonewall any protest. be warned - this is an organisation that uses very sharp business tactics to their advantage. I would avoid at all costs. I can't give no stars, but it really is none. I repeat, avoid.

Went to lakeside karting for the first time for my birthday, to have first time experience at go-karting. Lakeside karting has some great offers such as the 2 for 1 which really helped out as I my family has financial problems. The receptionist was great she was moved our session as we came late due to traffic. I got £2 pound just to get a balaclava from the reception as it says on the website for £2 but at the couldn't buy it as it was £3 as i didn't know the prices would be different. Many size for the race suit which really helped out for my dad. The track experience was very good had different types of corners, had slight issues with the corner called "the complex" as it was slippery and couldn't really find the right braking point yet. Track was great really gave me taste of racing as I want to get into karting and be a racing driver. However the race martial at the end was quite rude, I only asked if we need to be escorted out and he gave a rude answer. Also saw Steve (got only N.1 and N.7 of his top tips and didn't get the rest) good to see very experienced driver around. Planning to go there again going to talk to lakeside karting and see if the allow school trips. Like the fact that they have private tuition would love to go there as soon as i get a part time job, also wondered if they have race teams or championships so could really go there and start karting as do like the karts and track at lakeside. Personally I think the twin engine karts should have separate sessions as i wanted to compare the times of the single engine karts. To conclude lakeside karting is a great place and would recommend to other people, beginners or pro suitable for both and will definitely go there again.
Had a junior Karting party for my sons birthday. What can I say all the kids and adults all had a lovely time. Kids absolutely loved driving the karts.
