  • Lovely shopping area to go to. Lots of different shops to chose from. You always feel safe as you are inside and police do walk around the building. Gets very busy when the weather is horrible.  more »

  • I like Lakeside, after being away fro a while, visiting Lakeside always reminds me that I'm back in Essex, which I consider a good thing as I'm quite fond of my home county. There is a good selection of shops and lots of nice places to eat on the Boardwalk, I have frequented most of them and never really been disappointed, I especially like Giraffe. Like all shopping centres it does get very busy around Christmas but there always seems to be plenty of free parking, I do wish they would enforce disabled parking a bit more, as you might expect this is usually placed in the most convenient areas of the car parks and where as this doesn't usually cause a problem, at the busier times of year it is quite clear that there are people using these spaces who shouldn't be. The cinema there is also quite nice if not a bit overpriced although this is common and I don't think that any others in the near area are particularly cheaper.
  • Great shopping centre. Massive car park. You can send the teenagers to the cinema and shop in piece. Small children also catered for. Food hall is impressive. Large selection of various cuisine. Something for everyone
  • If you want to browse or shop for clothes or jewellery then this is a good place to head for. Excellent parking, easy access and clear entrances. Upstairs contains the large food hall where all tastes are catered for. Plenty of seats and invariably clean. Toilets available too carrying changing areas for babies and separate disabled toilets for easy access. All areas and floors are wheelchair friendly.
  • Good old Lakeside, how I missed you. Haven't been for a few years as moved to another county. Lots of new shops but still doing their half term school holiday free activities for the children which is always well organised and appreciated.
  • Good range of shops and restaurants. It hasn't changed that much since it opened in the 1990s so looking a little dated. Excellent transport links by train and car. Sometimes there's traffic at busy times. Best to visit by car as the retail park has some good stores and this is difficult to reach by foot.
