  • I have to admit that I judge country parks on how welcoming they are to visitors and how few rules and regulations they have. On the scale of one to ten Irchester Country Park scores a ten every time....  more »
  • We enjoy walking round with the dogs, dogs are away from road and any danger.we also have a drink or ice-cream.  more »
  • We loved this country park. It has loads to offer the kids and we took a picnic so figured out to be a cheap day out. Great to have a choice of different timed/length walks and nice to look at the wooden carving art as well as enjoying the nature, we also bought an ice cream and although I don't do public toilets my partner said they weren't too bad! I would give 5 stars but the lack of bins was annoying although I can understand that it may save the park some money not having to empty loads of rubbish... we will definitely be visiting again.
  • Nice park with some good walks. Don't bother with the cafe though. Ordered a coffee, 15 mins later nothing. Think maybe the milking cow had escaped. Should get a discount for clearing your own table when you arrive.
  • Love this park!! We discovered it when walking a dog we were adopting from Animals in Need which is nearby. Open grassy areas, wonderful woods, tons of paths to ramble. Lots of lumpy bits in the woods for kids to clamber on. Even when the car parks are really crowded there is still plenty of space. Picnic tables dotted about. Good cafe, loos available. Be prepared to take away your own trash. Considering the use the park gets, people are pretty good about that. Parking is £3, a tad more if you use a credit card. There's a real feel good factor, everyone you see is smiling. Cheap great day out!
  • The park is OK, decent playground. But stay away from the cafe, 20 minutes waiting time for a soup of the day? Which is heated in a microwave and absolutely inedible. There is an open plan kitchen, so look how they cook before ordering. Hygiene, what hygiene?
  • A great park whether it be for going off the beaten track to walk the dogs and explore, or stay closer to the centre with things to keep the little ones entertained. Food and drink outlets also on site. Car parking is fixed at £3 for up to 12 hours stay so a little steep for a quick visit, but great value for an all day stay.
