  • We were welcomed to the castle by the curator who had extensive knowledge of the castle and explained the history and it made it a really interesting visit.
  • Castle Menzies is quite fascinating. The video introduction is interesting - though, perhaps, a bit too long. The driveway definitely needs potholes to be filled!
  • Castle Menzies is more a fortified Laird's residence than a castle. It was saved by the Clan Menzies society and is now maintained by a charitable trust set up by them. They are making a very good job...  more »
  • This is a great wee place . We went here a few weeks ago and very impressed with the place . The castle keeper knows lots about the history of the castle and much more . When we were there it was very busy and the castle keeper gives everyone a quick intro in the history of the place and I never heard him repeat himself . And there's the old kirk next to the castle . What a place full of history. And the wee cafe in the castle is very cheap . Anyone who goes here will not be disappointed . I could go back and just listen to the castle keeper all day . Would recommend this place to anyone ....
  • I am of Menzies and attended the gathering in August. All friendly and full of fun and life! Have done great work in restoration and gathering the artifacts which were once in the Castle home. Also restoration of the garden.
  • Nice documentary on castle history + garden history. not to much furniture but worth the detour
  • A good place to visit, with lots of information panels about the castle. Fairly plain inside, with not much to see.
  • An interesting historical venue with an interesting family history
