We decided to visit the centre after a quick look on TA; we weren't disappointed! The facilities were great; the cafe was well presented and had quick service, the grounds were buggy-suitable and even... read more »

Lovely otters but some enclosures closed for refurbishment, only handful of ducks in the duck breeding area. Also a bit pricey for 2-3 hour walk.
Great day out for kids and adults
Shouldn't be open with state it's in at mo. Play park shut but no mention of that on website. Duck breeding area had a hand full of ducks. Grass everywhere is overgrown. Me and 3 year old tried to follow a wooden path and she wouldn't go down it as had to fight through grass and nettles. Picnic area has simply had a grass cutter to clear a small space and left knee high grass all around. Loved this place as kid but for £9.50 entry and it took 40 mins to walk around. Seen no point in re walking it either
A wonderful nature experience. A great park with lots going on, tons of amazing and endangered ducks and geese, otters, flamingos, cranes, some rare birds from all over the world. There is a small circuit (a bit hilly so maybe not one for gran, but pretty smooth and tarmaced so fine for buggies and prams) around the main attractions with longer offshoots to quieter walks past some bird hides and through a wood. They have a duckery too, great for May-Aug visits. Kids love it too, especially because you can feed the ducks with seed bought at the main entrance. PS tip: Don't use all your seed all at once at the first bit, save some for ducks later on - there's a lot of them! I love this gem of a place.
Very friendly staff, birds stunning allowing children to feed them. Playpark and cafe great and activities indoors with lovely staff. A fabulous day out!
