  • Service a little slow. Customers standing drinking at the bar makes it difficult to get served. Atmosphere good. Food very good.

  • Went to see the country wife, a restoration comedy from 1675 by william wycherely, performed by Sunderland university drama students who were utterly brilliant in it.
  • I've eaten here quite a few times and the food has always been lovely, especially the Sunday lunches. Keep an eye out as there are lots of activities here during the week. I used to do dancing here (cha cha cha, rhumba etc) on a Tuesday night and I've also been to a few comedy nights.
  • Great food
  • great place, great venue room, played here back in February not many people turned up but was still a great night
  • Fantastic atmosphere, a bar/cafe with gastro style food. A warm friendly ambience awaits with a suitable outdoor area for drinks on a sunny day, hence the name courtyard. Primarly a cafe with leather seats and large round tables, its great for food. Their food is like that of what you would expect in a bistro yet lacks any real attention to presentation. Free WiFi would round this place off nicely.
