  • We went on a Sunday and were impressed with the facilities. Our 6 year old had a great time going around with a clip board (which the kids receive on entering) ticking off the various birds and animals we saw as we made our way around the reserve. We met a friendly robin and couldn't believe how close we got to it. The picnic areas are very nice too and the staff very friendly.
  • Great place to visit, it's as beautiful as it is peaceful with the Koniks on the meadow to the kingfishers feeding their young.
  • Great walking space and wildlife spotting. Free if you don't park your car at their car park otherwise £3 per car. We parked few mins walk away near the gatehouse and discovered it walking around. Not good on the hayfever though.
  • Lovely tranquil and well maintained reserve with hides to observe the wildlife. One of the best places to see kingfishers and there are otters and water voles too. I'd have given it an extra star if it had a cafe.
  • Poor experienceunfortunately. Seems abandoned in several places, and could use some tidying. Must be great for bird watchers, though!
