  • Five stars based upon visual only. We sadly could only view it from the front fence owing to the home being closed for the English Heritage 2015 Winter season. What we saw was a beautifully ornate house that took our breath away. Hope to return to the Isle of Wight in a couple of years again, in order to view this beauty in closer detail, ie when English Heritage have it open. Keen to learn more of the history.
  • Liveed on the island many years ago but growin up i went 2 appledurcombe at nite and all though i was very spooked i was in awe of the splender of that beutiful hse x
  • A beautiful example of decaying grandeur, on the one side it's sad to see, but on another it's a great opportunity to see into how these great houses were put together.
  • Went to a scary walk...very good.
