  • This place is only good if you like Rats!! I saw quite a few when I was there and am not impressed with it.
  • Simply stellar spot to be and look out and around at the water and beyond. Free. In and near a lovely area of simply beautiful buildings, churches, pubs and small restaurants.

  • Beautiful views to be had of the bay each side and a great walk along pier. Unfortunately to get into the actual ruins you have to pay. I would just walk around the outsides looking at the great views then to see the ruins just go on Google maps and look at the 360 degree photos of the inside. Saves money and you miss absolutely nothing. Spend the money you saved on some great food on Tynemouth main Street in one of the great places to eat.
  • This is a wonderful place to stop and see! Great views of the ocean. The grounds are nicely kept up.
  • Plenty to see, quite easy spend the whole day there. Staff are very friendly and helpful
  • Impressive coastal castle and Benedictine priory on the north promontory at the mouth of the River Tyne. The graves in the Priory show some interesting local history of Alexander Rollo.
  • Nice place to spend a weekend. It is easily accessible by metro
